MANUSCRIPT WRITING GUIDELINES

 

Required Files During Submission

  1. Author Information (Title) File:
    A file containing the manuscript title, authors’ full names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and email addresses (a template should be used). Authors must also declare their contribution rates, acknowledge any support or funding, and report any conflicts of interest in the relevant section.

  2. Manuscript File:
    The manuscript file must not include authors’ names, affiliations, or any identifying information. Authors should follow the manuscript template provided under the “Templates and Forms” section.

  3. Ethics Committee Approval:
    The relevant ethics approval document must be uploaded to the designated section. The source, approval number, and date of the ethics approval should also be indicated in the Methods section. Studies without ethics approval will be rejected without review.

  4. Similarity Check:
    Similarity should be checked from the Introduction to References sections. The similarity rate must not exceed 20%. For historical studies or qualitative research, the editor’s assessment may be requested regarding similarity thresholds.


Formatting for Submissions

Page Layout:

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).

  • Line spacing: 1.5 between paragraphs and sections.

Manuscript Title:

  • Centered, bold, 12 pt Calibri font, with initial capital letters for each word.

Headings within the manuscript:

  • METHODS – First-level heading

  • Data Collection Tools – Second-level heading

  • Mindfulness Inventory for Sport – Third-level heading

Abstract:

  • Font: Calibri, 10 pt, single-spaced

  • Length: 150–300 words, unstructured, single paragraph

  • Content: Purpose, study group, methods, findings, and conclusions

Keywords:

  • Alphabetically listed, separated by commas, minimum 3, maximum 5 keywords

  • Font: Calibri, 10 pt, single-spaced


Manuscript Structure

Sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion / Recommendations, References


INTRODUCTION

  • Introduce the topic, rationale, problem, and theoretical/conceptual framework.

  • Review key literature and conclude the section with the study’s objective and originality.

  • Include definitions, abbreviations, assumptions, and limitations with justifications if applicable.

  • Font: Calibri, 12 pt, justified, 1.5 line spacing

  • Page margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Add 6 pt spacing between sections or paragraphs

In-text citation examples:

  • Single author: (Terazzi, 2021)

  • Two authors: (Altın & Karames, 2001)

  • Three or more authors: (Alaten et al., 2020)

  • Multiple studies: (Altın & Karames, 2001; Azarten, 2011; Zortaş et al., 2012)

  • When the author appears at the beginning: Azerioğlu et al. (1995) stated that…


METHODS

  • Describe the research design and model.

  • Include ethics approval source, number, and date.

Study Group / Participants:

  • Provide detailed demographic information; tables may be used.

  • Power analysis for sample size is recommended.

Data Collection Tools:

  • Describe all inventories or measurement instruments used.

Data Analysis:

  • Specify the statistical program and analysis methods used.


RESULTS

  • Table titles: 11 pt Calibri (can be reduced to 8 pt if necessary), bold, only first letter capitalized, e.g., "Table 1."

  • Tables should follow APA style (no vertical lines, easy to read)

  • Tables spanning multiple pages should indicate "Table 2 continued"

  • Table notes should follow the manuscript text style


DISCUSSION

  • Interpret results in light of existing literature

  • Discuss meaning, limitations, strengths, practical implications, and potential assumptions


CONCLUSION

  • Summarize findings and future recommendations


REFERENCES

  • APA 6 format, alphabetically, no numbering

  • Font: Calibri, 10 pt, 1.25 cm hanging indent, 6 pt spacing between references

  • If multiple works by the same author: sort from oldest to newest

  • If multiple works by the same author in the same year: add letters (a, b, c) after the year
